PAW Patrol Live! “Race to the Rescue” is on a Roll with First Leg of U.S. Tour; International Tour to Kickoff in Canada, Australia and Mexico February 2017

VStar Entertainment Group and Nickelodeon share First Look at Show Photos

MINNEAPOLIS, MN (November 17, 2016) – VStar Entertainment Group and Nickelodeon’s PAW Patrol Live! “Race to the Rescue” tour is on a roll and ticket sales continue at a strong pace throughout the US and around the world, including multiple sold out performances. The tour is scheduled to visit 90 U.S. cities, with 36 currently on sale, and it will kick-off the international leg of the tour in Canada, Australia and Mexico beginning February 2017. Based on the hit preschool series PAW Patrol, which airs on Nickelodeon and is produced by Spin Master Entertainment, the merriment-inducing musical adventure captivated audiences during its debut in late October in Evansville, IN and has been a must-see for kids and families in the first few markets. A first look at the show and its unique costumes can be seen in photos here.

“There has been an incredible amount of excitement around this tour, and the fun part for us is seeing strong audience enthusiasm,” said Eric Grilly, Chief Executive Officer, VStar Entertainment Group. “Our three performances at the Cannon Center in Memphis sold out, and the show’s debut weekend in Evansville, Indiana was the highest-grossing family show at that venue in five years. Behind the scenes, a tremendous amount of preparation goes into a production like this, and it’s wonderful to receive this kind of reception so early on in the tour.”

“PAW Patrol Live! “Race to the Rescue” brings an exciting original story to life through unique costumes, dynamic staging and original music compositions that have the audience out of their seats and singing along from beginning to end,” said Gerald Raines, Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon Global Recreation Business Development. “We are thrilled this production is resonating with audiences and that kids and parents across the U.S. and around the globe are clamoring to have the beloved pack of PAW Patrol pups visit their hometown.”

PAW Patrol Live! “Race to the Rescue” features innovative costuming. Using Bunraku, puppetry elements are built into costumes worn by performers to create life-size pups that wag their tails, blink their eyes, move their mouths and engage the audience throughout their adventure. The costume design brings a fun, realistic parallel between the animated series and the live show. Each pup’s all-important Pup Pack and vehicle also makes an appearance during the show.

PAW Patrol Live! Show Overview

PAW Patrol Live!, Presented by Pedigree, brings everybody’s favorite pups to the stage for an action-packed, high-energy, musical adventure. When Mayor Goodway goes missing during the day of The Great Adventure Bay Race, Ryder, Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Rubble, Zuma, Skye and Everest come to the rescue! The 75-minute production, which includes two acts and an intermission, shows that “no job is too big, no pup is too small,” and shares lessons for all ages about citizenship, social skills and problem-solving as the characters each use their unique skills and teamwork.

The performance features up-tempo music and a brand new cleverly written script that is a good introduction to live theater for kids. Classic theatrical scenery along with a high-tech video wall visually transports families to an authentic PAW Patrol environment, including locations from the TV series, like Adventure Bay, The Lookout, Seal Island, Farmer Yumi's farm and Jake's Mountain. Special interactive video allows the audience to participate via interviews, solve clues with the Pups, follow Mayor Goodway and much more.
